DILF of the day - Jack Davenport

The honourable Admiral Norringtion in 'Pirates of the Caribbean'.
Adding him to the list as I'm watching one branch of the above film and have somewhat fallen in love with him. Birthday treat.

DILF of the day - Joel Madden

Singer from the band Good Charlotte and twin of Benji.
I would say the better twin, as he's not fat anymore and married to Nicole Richie. I find this quite funny, as their song, 'Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous' seemed to damn celebrities in magazines, like Nicole.
Anyway, he is also culprit to naming his children badly; one is called Sparrow...

DILF of the day - Bear Grylls

(Edward Michael Grylls)
He shows us how to successfully survive in the wild, if that's something you count as necessary knowledge. He's killed and eaten some pretty weird stuff, which is not something I agree with, but you can't say no to that handsome face.
At the tender age of 23 he got himself into the Guinness Book of Records, not for something ridiculous though; he became the youngest person to climb Mount Everest, kudos.
He's named two of his sons Huckleberry and Marmaduke - best names ever.

DILF of the day - Brandon Richard Flowers

Ok, so I didn't do a post yesterday so as a special treat, I give you today's DILF.
Not the most interesting babe in the business, but he has a lovely voice, great style, and has had some moments of glory and made a few offhand comments referring to other bands.
Not always so keen on his choice of facial hair though.

DILF of the day - Dr Elliot Hope

I'm too tired to type much today, sorry all.
He's a lovely guy, and also has some great comedic moments in Holby, truly integral to my Tuesday night.

DiLF of the day - Casey Affleck

"The better Affleck" according to brother, Ben (I totally agree).
About to be the hottest new star to hit Hollywood, if not already.
And, if you didn't already know, he is directing the documentary surrounding the weird and wonderful new life of his brother-in-law, Joaquin Phoenix.
Phwoar!

With thanks to Tim Rogerson.

DILF of the day - Chris Noth

Yeah, he plays a bit of a douche in Sex and the City, but he is pretty dashing.
When looking him up, I also found out that he writes poetry (!!) and, when he was younger, he built his own log cabin. Not just a pretty face.
Also, if anyone picks up this weeks Look magazine, turn to page 35 and you will see his incredibly good body.

DILF of the day - Mark Anthony Patrick Owen

An obvious one today.
My favourite of all the Take That boys (and I believe he won't only be mine) since the very beginning.
I even bought his solo album 'Green Man'. I can't remember if it was any good, only that it was a bit weird, but that just makes him more attractive for being a bit quirky. It in no way contained anything as exceptional as 'Babe', but at least he tried.
He's actually 37 now, although he still looks about 12.

DILF of the day - Sting

(Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner)
The leading member of The Police.
Ok, so I'll have to admit, when my mother first introduced me to the band, I wasn't as keen on them as I am now, but I was young and into more popular music, like garage and R'n'B.
However, things have very much changed, and 'Don't Stand So Close To Me' is now in my top 10 favourite songs of all time. Please, Sting, let me stand close to you! Oh, go on, a little bit closer!
He used to be a school teacher. Can you imagine? Then he'd be a TILF.
Also, the tantric sex thing...I'm intrigued.

DILF of the day - Jack Dee

Jack Dee, the most depressing comedian. To me, he epitomises an outsiders view of British comedy.
I prefer him doing stand-up than panel shows or in his TV series Lead Balloon.
Trivia number one; he quite surprisingly won the first Celebrity Big Brother, after having escaped to give his wife a kiss during another housemates eviction, although unless you watched the first serious you may not know he was on the show as he later refused for any of the clips to be shown again.
Trivia number two; he originally trained as a priest, but obviously the lack of sex got too much and he instead turned to alcohol.

DILF of the day - Richard Beckinsale

The loveable Godber from Porridge.
I used to watch this show with my mother and instantly fell in love with the bright-eyed, naive Brummie.
We have so much to thank him for, not only for (personally) introducing us to the greatness of the Brummie accent, he also left us, the very gorgeous actress, his daughter Kate.

DILF of the day - Heath Andrew Ledger

An easy one here.
He was the bad boy turned good in one of my favourite films, 10 Things I Hate About You. I also think he was pretty amazing in Two Hands.
Aside from the obvious acting talent, he also had a keen interest in directing, and if you watch this, I think you might agree with me that this was not just a hobby, but also a talent. And, I don't say that often about an Australian.
His DILF status arose from a relationship with, the very beautiful, Michelle Williams, producing the cutest daughter.
He may be gone, but his gorgeous face can still be seen in many great movies, maybe I should do a Ledger movie marathon...

DILF of the day - Louis Theroux

The magnificent.
The bringer of insightful documentaries, like his Weird Weekends series, which are captivating, I can watch him over and over.
What sets him apart from others in his field is his complete willingness to put himself in the shoes of those he follows, shown very clearly in 'Louis Theroux: Under The Knife', where he spends £2,500 to undergo liposuction whilst investigating the allure of plastic surgery.
Physically (even after the lipo), I can admit that he's not the most attractive man on the planet, but his underhand humour, obvious intellect, and even his childish petulance at times, are worth more than a pretty face or slim figure.

DILF of the day - Bryan Ferry

Roxy Music is my second most played album so it's only right that the man behind the music gets a mention on here.
Not exactly the coolest rock star of his time, which may be the reason why Jerry Hall left him for Mick Jagger, but he was arguably the best dressed.
He now dates someone 35 years younger him, what a cad. Aside from that piece of recent information, I am basing my lust on the Bryan Ferry of the 70s and 80s.

DILF of the day - Hugh Michael Jackman

Aka Wolverine, the sexiest mutant I've seen.
Obviously, it would be much preferred if he spoke with an American accent at all times, but I guess we have to be thankful for small mercies.
He can sing, dance, and act but shockingly hails from the land down under. He also has some cuuuuuuuuuuute kids.
I like this.
Not too sure about this.

DILF of the day - Sandy Cohen

Seth's hot dad in the OC.
With that sweeping hair, his ever moral tone and those gorgeous blue eyes.
Need I say more.

DILF of the day - Marco Pierre White

With his mean stare and grubby bandana, who wouldn't?
If you are unconvinced then read the story of his 3 marriages, which is an interesting one. I've summarised it below.
The first lasted not even 2 years; the second was to Lisa Butcher, and ended after he commented that she looked like she was ready to walk down a catwalk rather than an aisle on their wedding day and "something very bad" happened on their 2 day honeymoon in the Scilly Isles; and the third, which did last seven years, ended amid rumours that Marco was having affairs with his waitresses, Martine McCutcheon and Robin Saunders.
Marco is one of those not so obvious ladies' man; isn't seen in the Daily Mail every week with something new on his arm; but you know he gets his share and must be quite a charmer, underneath all that staring and silent anger.
One thing that does slightly put me off is his sixteen year relationship with his Japanese assistant, Mr Ishii.
But, that aside, I still would.

DILF of the day - Alex James

Yes, the bassist from 90's britpop mavericks Blur, who also has admitted to using cocaine extensively in his rock and roll years. This makes him cool; he helped establish a whole new and great genre of music, and had masses of fun partying at the same time.
Now he produces his own cheese on his very own farm, which to some may seem weird, but I practically live on the stuff, so in my books, this makes him doubly cool.
Alex and his video producer wife, Claire Neate, have four children whose names I sincerely advise you to look up, they are legendary. Puts the Geldofs' girls to shame.
What an eccentric father he's turned into.

DILF of the day - Robert John Downey Jr.

So, post number 1 and I'm starting with the ultimate.
I first caught this 'hottie' on Ally McBeal. During this period, he was mainly known for his multiple arrests on substance related charges. Then in 2001 he used his day release from rehab to attend filming of the video for Elton John's 'I Want Love' (which the photo below is taken from).
Since then, he has had a greatly successful comeback career.
But I will always love the drug-fuelled Robert best.
