DILF of the day - Harry Harper

To pay tribute to the actor, Simon MacCorkindale, who sadly passed away yesterday, I give you his most famous character, from 'Casualty'.
He spent 5 years at Holby City's emergency department as a consultant before being forced to resign after making Ruth Winter's diaries public after her attempted suicide. As much as I didn't want to see him go, I do quite like Ruth for some strange reason.
Notable story lines are his affair and difficult relationship with his daughter whilst she worked on the reception.

DILF of the day - Laurence Golborne

(Laurence Nelson Golborne Riveros).
All day I've been watching the BBC live feed of the miners rescue in Chile, and it's been emotional, to say the least.
I don't really think there's much I can say about this man other than to praise him for his exceptional work in managing the rescue effort. As a result it is said that he is now the most popular politician in Chile and also, obvs, a hero.
Oh, his smiling face...

DILF of the day - Henry Albert "Hank" Azaria

I was just watching Pretty Woman and there Hank showed up looking pretty cute as a police officer at the start, I couldn't resist!
To list everything he's been/is in would take a lifetime, so a short rundown; Phoebe's love interest, geeky David in 'Friends'; pretty much half the characters in 'The Simpsons'; numerous film parts, such as sexy Claude in Along Came Polly... that's all I can be bothered with, imdb him if you need to know them all.
He is a keen poker player and also used to be married to actress Helen Hunt, not trying to make a connection there by the way.

DILF of the day - Usher Raymond IV

Yeah yeah yeah, yeah yeah, yeah.
The hunky singer who used to go out with 'C' of TLC (Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas) and has since been linked to Naomi Campbell and also married and divorced.
From 1997's 'You Make Me Wanna' to this years 'DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love' Usher has always managed to have a successful, and always current music career, spanning a mighty 13 years (more if you count his earliest attempt at an album in 1994) of being just plain cool.
Various TV and film ventures have also gone well for him. He was on 'Moesha' for a while, and everyone remembers him as the DJ in She's All That.
I used to practice this dance in my room as a youngster.

DILF of the day - Travis Landon Barker

"If that accident hadn't happened, we wouldn't be a band."
The telling tales of a band jaded by the fatigues of age. Three men who hated each other reunited by the near death of the little drummer-boy.

Or maybe we shouldn't focus on the negative side of all of this because after all I am looking for reasons why, as a straight man, I would want to fuck Travis Landon Barker. I have nothing but respect for a man who, to a greater or lesser extent, has had a mohawk since he was sixteen, whereas I couldn't even keep mine up. Likewise, I have nothing but respect, even sexual intrigue, towards a man with a sense of rhythm so well defined and well executed that he leaves the legends of jazz behind in the dark as mere amateurs.

And there is the dark side, the ghetto upbringing, the revenge he was ready to exact upon a lecherous ex-boyfriend in an episode of Punk'd. Boy! He was gonna knock that motherfucker out and dump him in a bin for Christ's sake! And that was all in the defence of his mental wife who he keeps divorcing, Marshall Mathers style, and who he is still lumbered with to this day because of the aforementioned plane crash. But who can blame him she was Miss [crack whore] America after all.

Then there is the ink, the glorious ink that covers his epidermis, the boom box across his chest is a personal favourite of mine, perhaps the greatest tattoo ever.

Plus I think we'd have this whole thing going on where he would give me free Famous Stars and Stripes apparel and I'd be in such awe of him because I could never afford any of it as a kid... :-(

DILF of the day - David James Arquette

With both parents, and all his elder siblings, as actors, you can see that he didn't really have much choice career-wise.
He found fame playing simple, sweet Dewey in the Scream trilogy (soon to be quadrilogy), where he first met his wife; Courtney Cox.
Aside from acting, he has also had a high profile wrestling career, at one point even becoming the WCW World Champion during his very, very brief career (lasting just under a month).
Not too sure about the 'tache he sported for his role as Dewey, will have to think on that one.

DILF of the day - Peter Lewis Kingston Wentz III

So, married to Ashlee Simpson, who was pretty damn cool up until that ridiculous nose job. They also have a child, with the uttermost absurd name ever; Bronx Mowgli... I mean, seriously guys?
In the great Fall Out Boy, who are on hiatus until one of them nearly dies in a plane crash.
Pete and his father actually wrote the lyrcis to 'Sugar, We're Goin Down' together, now that's what I call a good father-son relationship.
Being dubbed the most attractive member of the band, I kinda wish he was a little bit hotter, straightened his hair less, and wore less make-up, but beggars can't be choosers.

DILF of the day - Matthew Vaughn

Producer and Director of Kick-Ass, need I say anymore?
Yes?
Also married to supermodel Claudia Schiffer, he gave her a tortoise instead of an engagement ring!
Their children are named Caspar, Clementine and Cosima... which is ace.
I could mention his other films, but they're not really to my liking, and I'm sure you'll all know what they are.
He will, though, be directing X-Men: First Class, as long as he doesn't drop out two weeks before filming... again.

DILF of the day - Cillian Murphy

Known for his dreamy blue eyes and shiny locks.
I, once, accidentally turned him away from a club I was working at having not noticed who he was... whoops. Although, he was asking to get himself and entourage in for free, using his celebrity status?
Kudos for his great performance as 'Saint Kitten' in Breakfast on Pluto, love that film. He makes a very cute lady.
However, he seems to work best, in my eyes, as the bad guy. See Red Eye and Batman Begins. Unfortunately, he has apparently said that he no longer wishes to play villains.
He was (and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, a bit) the main reason I finally gave in and went to watch Inception

DILF of the day - Rhys Darby

aka Murray 'present' Hewitt, band manager in 'Flight of the Conchords'.
This is one of my favourite Murray moments.
I would strongly encourage you to check out his stand up stuff if you are a fan, it's a lot different, but in a good way.
According to Wikipedia he featured in an episode of 'The Slammer', anyone seen this? That show is so jokes.
Also, he was Norm in Yes Man, one of my favourite films at the moment (mainly because Zooey Deschanel is a babe, but Rhys is hilarious).
Rumour has it he's being considered for a role in the American version of 'The Office'; so good luck Rhys!
Although I am a fan of his usual geeky look, I have to say I much prefer the smart Murray look as demonstrated below...

DILF of the day - Ricky Martin

(Enrique Martín Morales ).
This one goes out to two people who used to be obsessive Ricky Martin fans. You know who you are...
Everyone remembers classics Livin' La Vida Loca and She Bangs, right? And his dancing?
His twin boys, all thanks to a surrogate, are named Matteo and Valentino... win.
Having spent most of his career under scrutiny regarding his sexual orientation he finally came out of the closet in March of this year, to not so much surprise.
Well, anyway, gay or not, he's still a bit of a hottie.

DILF of the day - Andrew Lincoln

Remembered by most as Simon Casey in 'Teachers', I wasn't much of a fan.
I, basically, fell in love with him during these few minutes...
This year he was lucky enough to star alongside Vanessa Paradis (Johnny Depp's lovely wife) in French romcom Heartbreaker.
Not much else to say, except he used to be called Andrew James Clutterbuck... you can see why he changed that one!

Tuesday, 28 September 2010

DILF of the day - Christian Charles Philip Bale

Yeah, so how did Frankie Boyle get on here before Christian?! Not right.
From Empire of the Sun to The Dark Knight this boy's got a CV to die for.
I think he was exceptional in The Machinist and even more so in American Psycho... how could you NOT fancy Patrick Bateman and his cute lisp??
More recently known for an incident that inspired this tune.
Having agreed to continue as Batman in the next film he will have played the character more times than any other actor in the film franchise.

Monday, 27 September 2010

DILF of the day - Ed Miliband

(Edward Samuel Miliband).
Here he is, the new Labour party leader.
I've always preferred 'panda eyes' Ed over David. Way cooler. And without the stupid grey patch.
Seen as more of a lefty than a centrist, he won with 50.65% of the votes... not a great win, but a win nonetheless.
From a young age he saw politicians and leading intellects 'do battle' in his family dining room. Maybe a good indication as to why he went into politics in the first place.
He just has that glint in his eye... <3

DILF of the day - Simon Baker

So, just watching 'The Mentalist' and felt I had to do this one.
I have seen very few of his films, notably only one sticks in my mind...let's just say "le boyfriend non plus?".
Anyway, another winner DILF here as the first picture on google images is of him nude.
Also, being Australian he has, obviously, starred in 'Home and Away'.

Friday, 26 March 2010

DILF of the day - Simon King

(Simon Henry King OBE).
I didn't realise how many bald DILF's there could be, I've clearly underestimated the smooth-headed man. For this I apologise.
I loved 'Big Cat Diary', the BBC's great take on wildlife families.
Does anyone remember Kidogo and her two cubs from the first series? That stuff was amazing.
I don't think I'd have ever liked wildlife shows were in not for this man and his skills.

Wednesday, 24 March 2010

DILF of the day - Andre Kirk Agassi

I admit that when I was younger I owned (and possibly still do, will have to check the attic) an Andre Agassi signed tennis racket, and I believe that he was the reason I actually started taking tennis lessons.
He married Steffi Graf, who is pretty much the female version of himself.
He is probably one of the only attractive bald men to appear on this list (with exception of Bruce Willis and Ross Kemp, both due to feature in the near future).

Tuesday, 23 March 2010

DILF of the day - James Patrick Caviezel Jr.

I did and didn't want to do this post.
But after finally finishing 'The Prisoner' I felt I had to.
Dismiss the fact that he's a somewhat boring devout Roman Catholic, and that he played Jesus in The Passion of the Christ.
He and his wife have adopted two children with brain tumors, in the hope of giving them a better life, how very Christian.
Apparently, during filming of the aforementioned Mel Gibson directed film, he was actually struck by lightening and also, last year, he was injured coming off of his motorcycle after someone supposedly threw a bike in his path...

Monday, 22 March 2010

DILF of the day - Chris O'Donnell

Batman's moody sidekick Robin in Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.
After starting modelling at 13, and getting his first television role at 16 he's been in many films, some good, some bad bad.
All will remember him as playing the previously mentioned Robin, not many for the Golden Globe nomination he received for his role in Scent of a Woman.
He has been mostly off the radar until recently, he stars in 'NCIS: Los Angeles', this could be due to him turning down what ended up being Will Smiths role in Men in Black, such a bad move!
Anyway, he is married, with 5 children, and still incredibly hot.

Friday, 12 February 2010

DILF of the day - Tricky

(Adrian Nicholas M. Thaws).
Formerly of Massive Attack (can anyone confirm that he has rejoined?).
He has also starred in Face/Off and The Fifth Element, which I'm sure by know you either know, or can work out, are films that I LOVE.
His first album 'Maxinquaye' was nominated for a Mercury Prize, and he also has a very sexy accent.

Monday, 8 February 2010

DILF of the day - Erol Alkan

The coolest man in London.
I was slightly unsure about this one, not for the lack of ILF, but due to the fact that I know people who know him and his lovely lady, it seems a bit close for comfort, but I was reassured when I heard that another cool man of London town wanted to be featured here (unfortunately he doesn't yet qualify due to lack of reproduction/adoption/marrying somebody with offspring).
i'm sure many of you have some great stories about Erol, but my favourite so far has to be when commenting on a Baseball Furies Halloween outfit he suggested a baseball bat with the addition of a rusty nail on the end, advising "you know, shit people up a bit".
Well, at least we all know who's going to be the coolest kid on the London scene in about 16 years.

Thursday, 4 February 2010

The Wayans Brothers

Yes that's right, Keenan Ivory, Damon and Marlon Wayans (Shawn doesn't qualify).
All three were in 'In Living Color' with Jamie Foxx and Jim Carrey. However, as the oldest of the family Wayans, Keenan is most known for writing, producing and directing. His work includes Scary Movie and White Chicks, both starring family members.
Damon is my favourite, I have to admit, mainly because of 'My Wife and Kids'. He is hilarious.
That leaves us with the youngest, Marlon, whose face you will know from Scary Movie, White Chicks and also Requiem for a Dream. He almost got the role of Robin in Batman Returns and Batman Forever but lost the role to Chris O'Donnell (soon to be featured).

Thursday, 28 January 2010

DILF of the day - Frankie Boyle

Francis Martin Patrick Boyle.
The most inappropriate panelist on 'Mock the Week', but in such a great way.
His jokes go too far, and sometimes so far that the BBC have received enough complaints to have to investigate, leading to apologies.
But, he has no boundaries on what his jokes cover; regularly ridiculing the Scots, usually in reference to drugs and alcohol. Seeing as he's a recovering alcoholic and was also a drug user; kudos.

Wednesday, 27 January 2010

DILF of the day - Seal

(Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel).
He sleeps with Heidi Klum, he's definitely got something. He proposed to her on a glacier in an igloo which he built himself! Now that's something. Also, look up the various fancy dress costumes they've been photographed in, you will not be disappointed.
His voice is heavenly, and his song Kiss from a Rose won him not one but two Grammy awards and ended up being his best-selling single in the US.
Ok, he does have those facial scars, but he can serenade me any day.

Tuesday, 26 January 2010

DILF of the day - Martin John C. Freeman

Most will know him as Tim from 'The Office'.
I mostly know him as the adorable body double in Love Actually. I fell head over heels for him at the point where he bites his lip, in-between where Judy says the line  "All I want for Christmas...is you", and he jumps off the steps.
Very precise, I know, but ultimately true.
He's also popped up in many well known TV shows, and some other British films.
He is British geek-chic.
Lastly, his long-term girlfriend and the mother of his two children is the other woman in those Maltesers adverts (not Jen from 'The IT Crowd').

Monday, 25 January 2010

DILF of the day - Larry Lamb

(Lawrence Douglas Lamb).
Sexy bad guy Archie from 'EastEnders' and Mick from 'Gavin & Stacey'.
He has produced a very sexy son too, congratulations Larry.
His Wiki page tells me that he's doing his own stand-up tour this year, someone get me tickets to the London gig please?

Friday, 22 January 2010

DILF of the day - John Joseph Travolta

Ok, I know, he's a Scientologist and ok, his singing voice is incredibly annoying, but he is so so hot in Pulp Fiction (nearly as hot as Uma), I couldn't leave him out.
Plus, Face/Off is one of favourite action films of all time.
And on his Florida estate he has a runway that literally leads right to the front door of his house.

Monday, 18 January 2010

DILF of the day - Paul Rudd

I like this guy a lot.
He is hot, funny, and in one of my favourite comedy films; Anchorman.
He's been on the scene for a while now, he was in the Clueless film in 1995. He has done a lot of crap, but is incredible as Mike in 'Friends' and even better as Brian Fantana in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgendy'.
He's been with his girlfriend-now-wife for 15 years! Jealous.

Friday, 15 January 2010

DILF of the day - Darren Aronofsky

The fiancé of Rachel Weisz, who is mostly known as a director, producer, and writer.
His filmography list on imdb may be rather short, but he's already pretty well known in the business. I've only seen two of his films, so far, namely Requiem for a Dream and The Wrestler, but am really excited to get my hands on a copy of π and also see Black Swan when it is eventually finished (Mila Kunis, Natalie Portman, AND Winona Ryder, every teenage boys dream!).
He has also been linked to a new version of RoboCop since 2008 but there is still no word on whether this is actually a work in progress or a very very bad idea. Please don't do it Darren.

Thursday, 14 January 2010

DILF of the day - Matthew Chandler Fox

You may remember him as hot, older brother Charlie from 'Party of Five'.
But, mainly, this man has been the centre of many arguments between myself and one of my closest friends, Milly. Namely the same argument that has occurred multiple times; who is better; Jack or Sawyer?
I am, obviously, in support of Jack.
Fox originally auditioned for the part of Sawyer... imagine if things had have gone differently. Well, he'd still be hotter than Josh Holloway and his massive, square jaw.

Wednesday, 13 January 2010

DILF of the day - Andrew John Ridgeley

This would be George Michael were he not batting for the other side.
But, yes, the other member of Wham!
This is one DILF that I have been very close to. I was once in his house, nearly in the same room as him, with only a half open door separating us. Mega good.
I do also know that he is not an actual father, stepfather, or adopted father, but he does currently live with partner, Keren Woodward of Bananarama and her son, so I'm allowing this to count.
